The Patrick Henry ACME baseball team will try to repeat what the Patriots did in the spring when they captured the Division IV state title. The PH ACME team bested Defiance twice on Sunday to capture the District 1 crown and a spot in this week's ACME tournament in Coldwater.
The Patriots needed two wins going in to Sunday if they were to dethrone the defending district champ. And after winning the opener on Sunday, the Patriots used a grand slam and a two-run home run by senior-to-be Austin Bower to capture a 13-8 victory over Defiance and a spot at state.
The Patriots will play the District 5 winner Saturday in Coldwater
