Pets shouldn't be dumped

I would like to take a moment to address some people who take animals to a rural location and drop them off.

Two weeks ago someone dumped a little white dog with brown spots. He had obviously been dumped from a vehicle as his leg was all scraped up. He is now sitting in a cage at the animal shelter. We have three dogs already, and while he was a very loving and friendly dog, we couldn't take him in.

It is a shame that some people can be so cruel and inhumane to just discard something like a piece of garbage. Many times they wander without a home or are hit by a vehicle.

I hope whoever dumped him can sleep well at night.

Trains need to quiet down

Around two years ago Ohio law passed a law prohibiting trains from blowing horns in certain areas. It was quiet in our area when a train traveled on the tracks behind several houses. But it didn't take long before it started up again.

Some engineers blow them loud, especially if I'm in the backyard. It scares me to near panic. It is ridiculous. Why are they not abiding by the law? It would be real nice if someone would get them to do it as allowed.

I tried to find a CSX phone number, but wasn't able to find one.

I think maybe I speak not just for us.

	I would like to make a comment to Sue the women that had an problem with trains blowing thier horn, are you crazy you think that they are watching to see if you are out and blow the horn louder, they blow the horn to warn people that they are coming to an gate or a place where they haven't put up gates because there is stupid people that like to try and beat the train,I've been raised around trains and we were thaught to respect them, I hate when people say that the train hit and kill people the train didn't jump the track and hit the car the car went into the trains space and didn't follow the rules and crossed anyways even thought they are warned if you do not like the horns MOVE!!!!
