A Defiance County grand jury has returned indictments against 25 persons, according to Prosecutor Jeff Strausbaugh.

Indicted were:

-- Humberto Perez, 23, 509 Gibson St., and Gilberto Perez, Jr., 22, Hamler, each for aggravated burglary, a first-degree felony, and felonious assault, a second-degree felony. The charges allege that on Jan. 5 they entered a residence at 1620 S. Clinton St. without permission and stabbed two persons. Both victims were briefly hospitalized. The defendants had been indicted on the same charges in February, but were re-indicted to correct a technical error in the law based on a recent Ohio Supreme Court ruling.

The specification alleges that McCoy used his business in the commission of the offenses.
