O-G win over Shawnee gives Defiance WBL title

OTTAWA -- Ottawa-Glandorf pushed a run across in the bottom of the sixth while Alex Schomaeker shut down Lima Shawnee (19-5, 6-2 WBL) on the mound in the sixth and seventh innings as the Titans stole a 8-7 victory in Western Buckey League action.

The victory by the Titans (15-3, 5-3 WBL), gave Defiance the outright WBL title.

Ryan Horstman led O-G with a single and double, while Schomaeker added a pair of singles. Jake Meyer, Tyler Leatherman and Aaron Leader each had doubles for the Titans.
