DHS softball team loses tight game to Kenton

The Defiance High School softball team dropped a 3-2 heartbreaker to Western Buckeye League foe Kenton at home Monday.

The loss dropped the Lady Bulldogs to 11-9 overall and to an even 4-4 in the WBL.

Ashley Brandon went 61/3 innings, giving up three runs on five hits with seven strikeouts.

Lindsey Tobias led the Lady Bulldogs at the dish with a home run and two runs batted in.

Defiance is back in action today at home against Elida in its final WBL game of the season.
