Monday, 8:13 p.m., on the 1400 block of Deerwood Drive, a vehicle driven by Dustin Dunson, 20, 1221 Magnolia Drive, struck a mailbox and a pole. Dunson was cited for failure to control. Damage was light.

Monday, Johnny Gonzales, 24, Holgate, was charged with OVI, driving under suspension and speeding following a traffic stop on North Clinton Street.

Monday, Anthony Cowser, 45, 1024 Harrison Ave., was charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated following an alleged incident at 700 W. First St. He was taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, rural Stryker.

Henry Sheriff

Monday, an investigation is pending into the alleged theft of a Ford truck at 8-767 County Road F. The truck was recovered by the Wood County Sheriff's Office and was damaged by fire.

Monday, Steven Nienberg, 19, Ottawa, was issued a summons for improper handling of a firearm following a traffic stop at Wabash and Damascus streets in Liberty Center.

Napoleon Police

Monday, 4:08 p.m., at 1000 W. Riverview Ave., a car driven by Deborah Smith, 55, 4305 E. Rolling Meadows Blvd., Defiance, struck a car driven by Tiffany Junge, 19, 1120 Sycamore Drive, Napoleon, which struck a pedestrian, Samantha Sworden, 17, 235 Maumee Lane, Napoleon, and a car operated by Donna Miller, 63, 223 Garden St., Napoleon. Two passengers in Junge's vehicle, Rochelle Rippee, 21, 505 Buckeye Lane, Napoleon, and Kailie Mack, 20, 1-917 County Road 12, Holgate, were transported by Napoleon rescue to Henry County Hospital where their conditions were unavailable. Junge was cited for failure to yield. Damage to Junge's and Smith's vehicles was heavy and damage to Miller's vehicle was light.

Williams Sheriff

Monday, 10:17 p.m., on Williams County Road F, a vehicle driven by Jeffrey Gagnon, 48, Napoleon, struck a deer. Damage to the vehicle was light.

Monday, Tyson Reeder, 31, Montpelier, was arrested on a municipal court bench warrant for failure to pay fines on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Monday, Amanda Clair, 27, Montpelier, was arrested on a municipal court bench warrant for failure to pay fines on a charge of passing bad checks.

Defiance

Fire -- Sunday, 2:48 p.m., firefighters were called to the Shell gas station, 1163 S. Clinton St., for a small gas spill.

Fire -- Monday, 1:21 p.m., firefighters were called to Johns Manville plant 2, 408 Perry St., for a fire. A belt failed on an industrial fan and burned. The fire was put out with portable fire extinguishers and the embers were cooled with water. Damage was contained to the fan.

Defiance Municipal Court

Russell Ditto, 46, 14951 Power Dam Road, appeared Monday on a charge of domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. An arraignment was set for Wednesday. He was released on a personal recognizance bond.

Marc Wallen, 36, 137 Wabash St., appeared Monday on a charge of attempted burglary, a fifth-degree felony. An arraignment was set for Wednesday. He was released on a personal recognizance bond. A pretrial hearing was also set for June 3 on charges of OVI and child endangering.

Forfeiting bonds: Matthew Hohstadt, 20, Bryan, no valid operator's license, $62; Gabriel Shank, 29, Colorado Springs, Colo., disorderly conduct, $110; Katherine Lechuga, 39, 915 Jackson Ave., disorderly conduct, $115; Erin Antoine, 23, 26415 Elliott Road, two counts of failure to apply for a dog license, $170.

Sentenced: Ricky Dirr, 35, 103 Auglaize St., disorderly conduct, $50 fine.

Defiance Common Pleas

Maurice Robinson, 35, 636 Harrison Ave., pleaded no contest to trafficking in crack cocaine, a fourth-degree felony, and four counts of trafficking in cocaine, fourth- and fifth-degree felonies. He was found guilty of each, according to assistant county prosecutor Morris Murray. A presentence investigation was ordered and his personal-recognizance bond was continued. Sentencing was scheduled for June 16.

Paulding Common Pleas

Robert Caperton, 38, Paulding County Jail, was sentenced to 17 months for gross sexual imposition, a fourth-degree felony; and four years for each of two counts of gross sexual imposition, a third-degree felony. Sentences are to be served concurrently. He was also found to be a tier II sex offender.

Casey Landers, age unavailable, 717 Park St., Box 8, Melrose, had the case dismissed without prejudice. Landers was charged with theft, a second-degree felony; and theft, a third-degree felony.

Jessica Moore, 20, 330 E. Elm St., Sherwood, was sentenced to three years of community control and 30 days in jail for possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony. She was also ordered to undergo substance abuse treatment, submit to drug tests and obtain her GED.

Shane Pease, 28, Paulding County Jail, had his community control revoked and was sentenced to 18 months for each of two counts of theft, a fourth-degree felony.

Lee White, 38, address unavailable, pleaded not guilty to tampering with record, a third-degree felony. Pre-trial was set for May 19, with trial on June 17.

Casey Landers, 19, 717 Park St., Melrose, pleaded not guilty to theft, a fourth-degree felony; and receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony. Pre-trial was set for May 19, with trial on June 10.
