Saturday, John Chaffins, 25, Hicksville, was arrested on a parole violation issued by the State Parole Authority and also charged with resisting arrest. Friday, 5:44 p.m., on Ohio 109, north of County Road J, a motorcycle driven by Jose Mendoza, 49, G-726 Ohio 109, Hamler, got stuck in a field. Damage to the vehicle was light. Saturday, 3:36 a.m., at 6-155 Ohio 110, a truck driven by Scott Schwiebert, 24, 11367 Ohio 18, Holgate, struck a driveway embankment. He was transported by McClure rescue to Henry County Hospital where his condition was unavailable. Schwiebert was cited for DUI. Damage to the vehicle was heavy. A second passenger, Barbara Smith, M-950 Ohio 65, McClure, was transported by Medic 1 to Henry County Hospital where her condition was unavailable. Correction The March 11 story about the Wayne Trace Local Board of Education meeting erroneously referred to Peggy Jo Glick and Sharon Peck as high school teachers. They are actually longtime teachers at Wayne Trace Grover Hill Elementary School.
