BATH TWP. - After an outright Green Meadows Conference title and a nine-game win streak, the Tinora Rams (9-3) saw a remarkable season come to an end Friday evening in D-V, Region 18 semifinal action after a 14-7 loss to the still-undefeated Eagles of Liberty-Benton (12-0). With the score knotted at 7, Liberty-Benton sophomore quarterback Aaron Craft scored what ultimately proved to be the game-winning touchdown on a 71-yard scamper down the sideline with 15 seconds showing in the first half to put the Eagles up for good, 14-7. Craft rushed for 216 yards and a touchdown on 21 attempts to lead the Liberty-Benton offensive attack while completing 9-of-18 passing attempts for 91 yards. Brandon Pickett added 50 yards rushing on 10 attempts and a touchdown as the Eagles outgained Tinora 370-162 in total offense. Comments
