RIDGEVILLE CORNERS -- Elizabeth Ellen "Betty" Miller, 96, of rural Ridgeville Corners, Ohio, died Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at Fulton Manor, Wauseon, Ohio.

She was born April 14, 1917, in Ridgeville Township, to the late Joseph and Addie (Meyer) Miller. Betty was a graduate of Bowling Green State University and became an elementary teacher for Ridgeville Corners and Archbold schools. She thought of all her students as her own and taught over 48 years.

She was a faithful member of St. John's Christian Church, Archbold. She was a member of Ohio Retired Teachers Association, Henry County lifetime member; Delta Kappa Gamma, Ohio, Beta Seta Chapter; Alpha Delta Kappa, Ohio, Alpha Eta Chapter.

She is survived by brother, John Miller of Ridgeville Corners, Ohio; sister, Mavis Armbruster of Napoleon; nieces and nephews, Tom Schudel, Mary Reber, Nancy Amaral, Joan Kling, Karen Brown, David Westrick, Diane Deblin, Scott Miller, Kevin Miller, Kurt Miller, and Kent Miller; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Janet Schudel and Mary Westrick; infant brother, Dolard Miller; and nephew, John "Weck" Westrick Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, at St. John's Christian Church, Archbold. Interment will follow at Ridgeville Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Friday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon, and 10-11 a.m. at the St. John's Christian Church on Saturday.
