SOUTH MILFORD, Ind. -- Louise Ann Miller, 70, of South Milford, died Friday, May 31, 2013, at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville.
Mrs. Miller was born in Archbold, Ohio, on November 20, 1942, to the late Glen Monroe Miller and Marguerite Annabelle (Stout) Miller. She was the first woman tool and die maker in northwest Ohio. She married Marvin H. Norden on October 13, 1962, at Zion Lutheran Church in Ridgeville Corners, Ohio. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2004. Louise was employed as a certified journeyman tool and die maker for 30 plus years before retiring in 2012.
Survivors include a son, Roger and Missy Norden of Napoleon, Ohio; daughter, Nancy and Rich Cartwright of Lubbock, Texas; five grandchildren, Dan Grime of West Unity, Ohio, Nathan Norden of Napoleon, Alyssa Norden of Napoleon, Lindsae and Ethan Thompson of Lubbock, Texas, and Paul Cartwright of Lubbock; sister, Marlene Nagel of Union City, Michigan; brother, Kevin and Becky Miller of Bryan, Ohio.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Edward Miller, in 1972.
Memorial services will be Thursday, June 6, 2013, at 6 p.m. at St. John's Christian Church, 700 South Defiance Street in Archbold, Ohio, with Pastor Adam Just officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-6 p.m. at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hite Funeral Home of Kendallville, Indiana.
