COLUMBUS—Ottawa-Glandorf recorded a pair of podium visits and Delta's Tyler Fraker improved on his state standing from a year ago as the first day of competition took place on Friday at the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus.

The boys 3200 relay team of Brad Recker, Sid Moening, Trevor Ellerbrock and Matias Trampe-Kindt battled there way to an 8:03.19 and a sixth-place finish.

Anna Bellman gave the Lady Titans a trip to the podium when she threw a 125-6 on her first throw which was good enough for fourth.

Delta's Tyler Fraker was 13th in 2013 with a 14-6 and although the junior didn't PR, he did manage to clear 14-10 this year and climb to fifth in the pole vault.

Defiance's 400 relay team was unable to qualify for Saturday's finals as did Delta's boys 400 relay.

Napoleon's Peyton Lee (100 hurdles), O-G's Madison Stechschulte (100, 200), the Lady Titans' 800 and 1600 relays, Swanton's Thomas Bryant (100) and Wauseon's Seneca Wyse (400) all made it through to Saturday.
