The following is a listing of female athletes from the Defiance six-county area currently competing in collegiate athletics. The report runs every Tuesday during the sports season with the men and women running every other week.

BROOKE RUFFER (Stryker, freshman, guard/forward) led the team in scoring with 11.7 ppg for the 12-13 Lady Beavers.
TANNER HOSTETLER (Pettisville, freshman, guard) started 17 games and averaged 3.23 ppg. Cornerstone was 19-12 overall and 13-9 in the WHAC.
KIM COMDEN (Ayersville, senior, center) led the team with 14.1 ppg and 7.2 rpg. DC was 14-12 overall.
ERICA KING (Pettisville, junior, guard) was second on the team with 13.3 ppg and led the HCAC with 70 made triples.
KIM BINGLEY (Ottawa-Glandorf, sophomore, guard-forward) came off the bench and netted 4.4 ppg while grabbing 4.6 rpg.
MEGAN ZACHRICH (Napoleon, sophomore, forward) started for the Lady Jackets and bucketed 8.5 ppg while grabbing 5.1 rpg.
ASHLEY BIRCHMEIER (Columbus Grove, junior, forward) averaged 3.8 ppg off the bench.
SARAH FEASBY (Wayne Trace, freshman, guard) played in 31 games and averaged 2.9 ppg
JOELLEN FICKEL (Wayne Trace, freshman, forward) played in 25 games and averaged 2.5 ppg for an 18-13 Lady Lancers squad that also finished 9-9 in the Crossroads League.
A.J. STUCK (Antwerp, freshman, guard) played in 17 contests and netted 15 points.
KAYLA ZACHRICH (Ayersville, freshman, guard) played in 24 games for 6-19 Heidelberg and scored 18 points.
KACEE HOCKENBERRY (Wayne Trace, sophomore, guard) the former second-team All-Ohio selection was one of two Lady Panthers to start all 26 contests last winter at ODU. She leads the team in scoring this season with 14.8 ppg for the 9-15 Lady Panthers.
TAYLOR MILLER (Napoleon, freshman, guard) has appeared in six games and scored seven points for the 26-1 and third-ranked Lady Polar Bears. ONU has won 25 consecutive games and won the OAC regular season and tournament titles. ONU will play HCAC Tournament champion Hanover College in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Hope College on Friday.
JESSICA FARR (Paulding, freshman, center) comes off the bench for the Dragons and nets 2.9 ppg and grabs 3 rpg. Tiffin is 11-14 overall.
WRIGHT STATE-LAKE CAMPUS
BRITTANY DRUMMELSMITH (Miller City, freshman, center) is a newcomer to an 8-4 Lakers squad.
KATE BORER (Fayette, senior, jumps/pole vault) took seventh in the triple jump and pole vault at the HCAC Championships.
SADIE DAEGER (Defiance, sophomore, middle-distance) was 13th at the HCAC Championships in the 800 meters.
BRITTNEY HOLMES (Defiance, freshman, middle-distance) was 14th in the 800 meters at the HCAC Championships.
BROOKE LIME (Defiance, sophomore, sprint/hurdles) finished second in the 60 hurdles at the HCAC Championships in 9.31 and also helped the DC 4x400 relay finish second in 4:15.59. She was also 10th in the 400 meters.
BRI RODRIGUEZ (Ottoville, sophomore, middle-distance) was 17th at the HCAC Championships in the 3000 meters.
WAVERLY WEAKS (Liberty Center, freshman, sprints/jumps) earned a fifth-place finish in the long jump at the HCAC Championships with a leap of 4.81 meters and was also ninth in the triple jump. Weaks added a fifth-place showing on the DC 4x200 relay team.
TRISHA KING (Archbold, sophomore, sprints) took first in the 400 meters at the Trine Championships in 59.42. She also helped the 4x400 relay take second in 4:07.84.
