Defiance comes up short in bid to knock off state-ranked Ottawa-Glandorf
By BRUCE HEFFLINGER
Defiance did nearly everything right in its attempt to knock off state-ranked Ottawa-Glandorf.
The Bulldogs committed just five turnovers in the game and hauled down an impressive 14 offensive rebounds, including seven in the fourth quarter.
But Defiance could not overcome one major aspect of the game and certainly one of the most important - shooting. The Bulldogs hit just 1-of-16 shots in the final eight minutes of play, missing their last 10 field-goal attempts in a 43-35 loss to the Titans on Friday night.
