TOLEDO -- Jared Marks of Napoleon finished his first season of ARCA racing with a 10th-place finish at Toledo Speedway.
Marks, a Napoleon native who drives for his father's team Tony Marks Racing in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards, qualified seventh for the event in his No. 8 Terry Henricks Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram Dodge Charger.
Despite running on just seven cylinders for the last part of racing event, Marks was able to earn the top-10 spot in a green-white-checkered finish.
"We had our work cut out for us, but we made the best of it," said Jared Marks of his finish. "We really didn't have any indication about the motor, it just happened all of a sudden. As a team though, we still knew that we had a good handling car, so we just had to push it all race long."
Said Tony Marks: "We definitely had some ups and downs, but we made the best of it. Jared did a great job bouncing back from something completely out of his control."
