BRYAN -- The Lady Bulldogs of Defiance split a pair of volleyball games in Bryan on Saturday, defeating the host team Bryan, 25-13, 25-13 and falling to Napoleon, 30-28, 25-23.
"The girls played well today and I was glad to see us mix up our offense against Bryan and we competed against Napoleon to the end." said Defiance coach Brooke Buti, " we are excited to go into tournament play now."
Demma Struasbaugh led Defiance with 18 kills and was 48-51 hitting while Paige Mathewson was 61-64 setting with 21 assists.
Defiance travels to Lima Senior on Wednesdayat 6 p.m. against St. Marys in Division II sectional action.
