SHERWOOD -- Fairview improved to 3-1 in the GMC with a 55-12 victory over Antwerp.
Andy Guilford ran for 180 yards and found paydirt four times to lead the Apaches (3-4) while Matt Tobin caught three passes for 68 yards and three touchdowns.
"He's (Andy Guilford) done a good job for us and I'm really proud of the way this team has bounced back and is still fighting for a chance to win a league title," commented Fairview head coach David Robinson. "I think our defense has really played pretty well all year long. A couple mistakes here and there where we've given up some points, but as a group, I think they really came together. They were really flying to the ball tonight. One slip on a fade pass on the varsity part of the game and they gave up a touchdown, but other than that, I'm really played with the way the defense played."
Derek Smalley paced the Archers (0-7, 0-4 GMC) with 80 yards receiving and a score.
