• Defiance County

Meeting changed: The Defiance Township's March 2014 meeting date has been moved from March 25 to March 18. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Defiance County Commissioners office, in the second floor conference room, located at 500 Court St., Defiance. Persons who wish to attend can enter the building via the entrance from the parking lot adjacent to the building.

Blood drive: The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive in Hicksville on Thursday from 1-6:30 p.m. at the First Church of Christ, 118 N. Main Street. To schedule an appointment, call 800-RED CROSS.

• Henry County

MS spring fling: The fourth annual Spring Fling for MS fundraiser will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 500 Glenwood Ave., Napoleon. Lunch will start at 11 a.m., with customers giving a freewill donation. There will be local vendors featured. A 50/50 raffle will be held and there will be chair massages. A bake sale will also take place. Proceeds will go to the National MS Society in Maumee and be used to support local programs and services as well as national research.

• Fulton County

Adult ag education: A Pettisville adult agriculture education night meeting will be Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the Pettisville ag room. The speaker is Ed Crawford of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and his topic is the state's nutrient reduction program in the Maumee basin. Crawford is Western Lake Erie Basin specialist with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources' Division of Soil & Water Resources. Key components of the program are to provide grants to local groups and SWCDs to help employ watershed coordinators; issue reports, including areas of dam deficiency; implement statewide and Lake Erie watershed-focused nonpoint source programs; and develop technology and assist communities with stream management and revitalization.

• Paulding County

Annual meeting: Paulding Putnam Electric Coop. will have its annual meeting on Saturday at its corporate office, 401 McDonald Pike, Paulding. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with the meeting at 10 a.m.

• Region

Meeting rescheduled: Today's meeting of the records commission for the Four County ADAMhs Board has been cancelled. It has been rescheduled for March 26 at the office of the director of the finance and administration at T-761 Ohio 66, Archbold.

Academy event: Congressman Bob Latta, R-Bowling Green, invites all interested high school students and their parents to attend an informational meeting at the Perrysburg High School Library, 13385 Roachton Road, on Monday, at 7 p.m., to learn about the U.S. Military Service Academy nomination and appointment process for the 2015 academic year.

At the meeting, potential candidates will be advised of the congressional nomination process and have the opportunity to meet with representatives from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs and the Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point. Potential candidates can obtain an application for a military service academy nomination at the meeting. Completed applications are due Sept. 30.
