Henry commissioners approve joint ditch construction project

NAPOLEON -- The Henry County commissioners Tuesday approved a construction plan for the Niese joint county ditch drainage improvement project.

The commissioners met with Bob George to discussion the joint ditch project. The Putnam County Soil and Water Conservation District provided a set of design drawings, specifications, engineer's estimate, aerial watershed map, parcel list and a scheduled of damages for the proposed ditch project. The Putnam County Soil and Water Conservation District is asking for approval of construction of the proposed project by the Henry, Defiance and Putnam county commissioners.

Also Tuesday, the commissioners visited Country View Haven for a monthly review.

On the agenda for Thursday, the commissioners are scheduled to meet with Chip Piercefield of NWSG to discuss vision plan at 9 a.m. At 10 a.m. they are scheduled to meet with state auditor's Deb Mack and Kevin Pegish regarding a letter of arrangement and at 11 a.m. will meet with Mike Imbrock for an update on the landfill.
