PAULDING -- The village of Paulding suffered a system-wide depressurization of the drinking water system and has issued a boil alert.
Several water main breaks within the village limits during the overnight hours caused the system-wide depressurization.
As a precaution, individuals in the village are asked to boil water for three minutes before using it, drinking or cooking until the alert is lifted.
Village officials are also asking residents to conserve the use of water as much as possible until further notice. The village water department will be sampling the system and testing water quality at this time.
