A Chevy Silverado driven by David Bakle, 72, Paulding, was traveling on Road 115 and failed to yield to a westbound Chrysler van driven by Corinne Ehrhart, 36, of Antwerp. Bakle was ejected from the vehicle upon impact and pronounced dead at the scene by Paulding County Coroner Dr. Joseph Kuhn.

Corinne and another passenger, Mallory Ehrhart, 10, address unavailable, were both transported by ambulance to Parkview Hospital and their conditions this morning were also unknown.

Officials report that all occupants of Ehrhart's vehicle were wearing safety belts at the time of the crash. Bakle was not wearing a safety belt. The crash caused U.S. 24 to be closed for approximately one hour in both directions.

Assisting at the scene was the Paulding Fire Department/EMS.
