The National Weather Service (NWS) in northern Indiana has issued a Winter Storm Watch, which is in effect from Tuesday morning through late Tuesday night.
According to the weather service, a strong storm system will continue to take shape across the northern Rockies this morning and will approach the middle Mississippi River valley early Tuesday. Snow will overspread the area from west to east Tuesday morning and will continue through late Tuesday evening before diminishing in intensity late Tuesday evening.

However, significant snow accumulations in excess of 6 inches are possible across northwest Ohio, northern Indiana and portions of southwest lower Michigan by late Tuesday night.
Ohio counties in the watch area include: Defiance, Williams, Fulton, Henry, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert and Allen.
