The National Weather Service in northern Indiana has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 10 a.m. today until midnight.
Hazardous weather...
* a wintry mix of freezing rain... sleet and snow will become all
snow by this evening. Less than a tenth of an inch of ice
accumulation is expected.
* Periods of snow are expected today with 1 to 3 inches of
accumulation in some parts of NW Ohio by late this evening.
Impacts...
* travel today and tonight will likely be hampered by the wintry
weather.
* Light ice accumulations on trees and power lines may cause
power outages over northern Indiana and Northwest Ohio.
The snow may be mixed with sleet and freezing rain over
northern Indiana and Northwest Ohio.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
