Woman reportedly stabbed to death in Napoleon

NAPOLEON - The Napoleon Police Department is investigating an alleged murder today here.

At 11:57 a.m. today, officers responded to 555 W. Main St., Napoleon, for a possible homicide. Officers found the body of Katilyn Nagel, 19, of Napoleon, in a bedroom at the residence. According to Napoleon Police Chief Robert Weitzel, she was stabbed numerous times.

He said an acquaintance, Michael Peddicord, 22, 555 W. Main St., has been charged with aggravated murder, a first-degree felony.

Peddicord was taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, rural Stryker. According to Weitzel, Peddicord may be scheduled for a video arraignment in Napoleon Municipal Court Tuesday.

Nagel's body was sent to the Lucas County Coroner's Office for an autopsy.

Police said the investigation is continuing.
