ARCHBOLD Between 1859 and 1866, 269 residents of the German parish of Visselhovede departed their homeland for a new and better life in America. So many of those came here to northwest Ohio, said Wauseon resident Henry zumFelde. To this day, I dont think there is anywhere in the United States that has a higher percentage of German Lutherans than Henry and eastern Defiance counties.
