The economic dispute between Defiance City Hall and Firefighters Local 918 will continue despite a state fact-finders recent recommendation. Fact-finder Alan Miles Ruben of the State Employee Relations Board (SERB) in Columbus found that the city is in no position to compensate firefighters with raises this year. For the second year, they and most other city employees have gone without raises due to the citys financial condition.
