Defiance voters now know what type of tax increase they will be asked to approve in Aug-ust for municipal government.
Tuesday night, Defiance City Council agreed to place a .3-percent, five-year income tax increase for general expenses on the Aug. 2 special election ballot. If approved, it would begin generating an estimated $1.2 million annually beginning Oct. 1.
