Bank robber gets 20-year sentence

A Fort Wayne man convicted of robbing Defiances KeyBank branch last June was nearly given the maximum prison term when he was sentenced on five charges Monday morning in Defiance County Common Pleas Court. Daniel McKinney, 46, was given a 20-year sentence for robbery, a second-degree felony; aggravated theft, a third-degree felony; receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony; and two counts of failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, third- and fourth-degree felonies.
