Paulding council: Tax abatement proposal receives council's support
By JACK PALMER
PAULDING Paulding Village Council on Monday approved a real estate tax abatement for a proposed new 6,000-square-foot office building complex to be constructed off the east side of Dooley Drive.
Property owner Greg Griffiths, of Emerald Division LLC, told council members that the single story, all-brick building project would include 42 paved parking spaces.
This is strictly general office space, said Griffiths, a former village mayor. It is already located in a community reinvestment area.
The estimated construction cost is $400,000, with another $50,000 estimated to cover furniture, fixtures and inventory.
