A petition that had sought to overturn Defiance City Councils rezoning of property at North Clinton and Sessions streets could soon be rendered moot.
The petition drive obtained enough signatures last fall to force a referendum in the November general election on the rezoning ordinance passed by council. The ordinance rezoned several lots at North Clinton and Sessions from R-2 (residential) to B-3 (highway and general business).
