Defiance County superintendents painted a bleak picture of the financial future of Ohios educational system Thursday evening as dozens of area residents turned out for a public forum on school funding.

The first in a series of public forums on school funding awareness was held Thursday at Defiance High School. The program, titled Strong Schools=Strong Communities: Who Really Pays for Our Childrens Education? brought out more than 75 interested persons including community and business leaders, educators, parents and concerned citizens.
