Defiances new mayor is wasting no time in moving City Hall.
Mayor Bob Armstrong, who took office last week, says his administrations offices located in the city building at 324 Perry St. will begin moving into the city service building, 631 Perry St., on Friday.
That building is three blocks south of City Hall, and was purchased several years ago for approximately $750,000 as an unfinished office building. At present, it is occupied by the citys parks and building inspection departments and what remains of the truncated engineering department.
The reason for the move, says Armstrong, is to provide space for all city offices.
