State patrol suggests motorists use precaution at the holidays
By MIKE PRIGGE
According to AAA, more than 59 million people will travel more than 50 miles from their home this holiday season. Of this about 48.5 million or 81 percent are expected to travel by motor vehicle. With all this extra traffic, law enforcement officials are advising motorist to use a little extra precaution this holiday season.
You have to be patient. Everybody is going to be trying to get somewhere for Christmas, said Ohio State Highway Patrol Defiance Post Commander Lt. Michael Sharp. You have to take your time, allow yourself some extra time to get to your destination, allow some extra space between you and the other driver and look out for the other guy.
