A new budget, municipal museum and street project were approved by Defiance City Council Tuesday, while good-byes were said to a pair of outgoing officials.
Council also discussed methods for collecting unpaid utility bills during its 45-minute meeting. (See related story on page A1)
After that agenda, council bid farewell to its most senior voting member Ward IVs Pat Walter as well as first-term Mayor Fred Schultz.
Walter decided not to seek re-election for a fourth, three-year term, and will be replaced on Jan. 1 by Chris Engel. Engel was unopposed in the November election.
