Nearly halfway through the 2003 campaign, United Way of Defiance County has not yet reached the halfway mark for its goal of $575,000. So far, contributions total $232,128, about 40 percent of the goal, said Barb Rogers, the local United Ways executive director. The campaign kicked off Sept. 4 with a new event, the Agency Fair, held Sept. 4-5 at Northtowne Mall. The event gave members of the community an opportunity to talk with representatives of United Way partner agencies and learn about the services they provide.
