Traffic headaches continue in the city

Work which began last month on Defiances Clinton Street bridge continues to cause headaches for area motorists as well as emergency vehicles that have to travel the route. One northbound lane has been closed since Aug. 18, allowing for crews from Fort Defiance Construction to have their heavy equipment on site for an extensive bridge repair project. The contractor is repairing the steel beams below the structure with a special polymer material.
