Former Defiance city administrator Roger Reece embroiled in an investigation of his city gas usage and expense account says he was given authorization to use unlimited fuel as part of a compensation package. Reece, who resigned in August, was recently required by state auditors to reimburse $479.38 for city-owned gas he used in his city-leased vehicle, a Ford Explorer. Reece has since done so, but a special prosecutor is deciding whether a criminal indictment against the former administrator will be sought.
