'Gilligan's Island' to be performed by Hicksville players
HICKSVILLE The mate was a mighty sailor man. The skipper, brave and sure. The millionaire and his wife. The movie star. The professor and Mary Ann.
And after their three-hour tour ended with a shipwreck on Gilligans Island, a television phenomenon was born which shows no sign of waning after its initial run on CBS from 1964-67. One of the all-time favorite shows in syndication, Gilligans Island has also spawned a stage production, Gilligans Island The Musical. The Hicksville Village Players will close out their 29th season on Aug. 15-17 and 22-24 by bringing these characters to life at the Huber Opera House and Civic Center.
