The Ohio Department of Transportation is continuing to clear debris from bridge piers. The project had been delayed due to high water, but crews were able to get some work done Thursday on the Jefferson Avenue bridge in Defiance. Here, crews watch as the crane lowers its grasping equipment into the river and brings up a large quantity of branches. Work will continue at other bridges in Defiance and near Sherwood next week.
