City urges interchange on U.S. 24 at West High Street
Defiance City Council left no doubt Tuesday night where it stands on the need for an interchange at U.S. 24 and West High Street when the federal highway is widened to four lanes.
A resolution urging state officials to include an interchange in their U.S. 24 widening plans unanimously passed while an ordinance increasing motor vehicle registration fees by $5 was let lie. Council also had planned to meet in executive session Tuesday night on the purchase or sale of public land, but that was postponed.
