BOWLING GREEN -- Congressman Bob Latta, R-Bowling Green, recently announced the 2012 Congressional Art Competition, open to all high school students who reside in the Fifth Congressional District.
Artwork must be submitted by April 11.
Applicants can drop off their application and artwork to one of the district offices located at the following: 1045 N. Main St., Suite 6, Bowling Green, 43402; 101 Clinton St., Suite 1200, Defiance, 43512; and 11 E. Main St., Norwalk, 44857.
District staff is also available to obtain artwork from students.

"The Congressional Art Competition is an excellent opportunity for high school students from our district to showcase their artistic ability.
"I look forward to seeing our district's creative talent represented in the Congressional hallway in the Capitol," said Congressman Latta.
Winners will be announced on Saturday, April 28, at Owens Community College's Center for Fine and Performing Arts, Walter E. Terhune Gallery.
The selected artwork will be displayed in the Capitol from June 2012 to June 2013.
Artwork categories include the following: paintings (oil, acrylics, watercolor, etc.); drawings (pastels, colored pencil, charcoal, pencil, ink, and markers); collage (must be two dimensional); prints (lithographs, silkscreen and block prints); mixed media (use of more than two mediums such as pencil and ink, etc.); computer generated art; and photography.
