Heart coalition has successful program

The Heart Health Coalition of Defiance County held its annual "Helping Your Heart" program on Sept. 27, with about 65 people in attendance.

There were three speakers at the event including: Dr. JD Reeves of Mercy Defiance Hospital, who talked bout metabolic sydrome; Kristi Retcher, BS, RRT, RPSGT, who discussed sleep apnea; and Marcia Cline, RN, BSN, CCRN-CMC, whose topic was, "Fall into Heart Health."

Former coalition members Jim Gary and Barb Rohrs were honored in memoriam, with family members present.

There were light refreshments and door prizes for attendees.
