Helen A. Bischoff, 87, died on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at the Napoleon Lutheran Home. She was born on June 3, 1927 in Holgate, Ohio to the late Alwin and Clara (Schwake) Boesling. On July 4, 1946, she married Herman L. Bischoff, who preceded her in death in 1996.
Helen was a homemaker and worked alongside her husband at Herm's Sausage Shop. She also worked part-time at Campbell's Soup and cleaned houses. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and former member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Okolona. She was a member of the Bavarian Haus, Deshler.
She is survived by her daughters, Doris (Kenneth) Miller and Evelyn McMurtrie, both of Napoleon; grandchildren, Eric (Anita) Miller, Michelle (Kevin) Henson, Susan (Todd) Wyckhouse, Kurt (Kelley) McMurtrie, Tina (Tim) Meyer, and Scott (Leslie) McMurtrie; 13 great-grandchildren, and sisters, Lavina Boesling and Frieda Boesling of Defiance.
She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lisa Jolene Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Okolona.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 19 from 4-8 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon and Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church.
