RIDGEVILLE CORNERS _ Franklin H. Schnitkey, 84, died Friday, August 15, 2014, at the Napoleon Lutheran Home. He was born September 27, 1929 in Ridgeville Corners to the late August and Marie (Schwienhagen) Schnitkey. On March 2, 1958, he married Juanita (Eberle) Schnitkey, who survives.

Frank was a lifelong farmer and faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church, Stryker, where he was a former Trustee and Youth Advisor. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He is also survived by daughters, Lou Ann (Randy) Rosebrock of Napoleon and Nancy (Steve) Thomas of Holgate; grandchildren, Michael Cohrs, Michelle (Ben) Weddelman, Benjamin Thomas, and Rachel Thomas; sister, Bernice Elling; sister-in-law, Marie Schnitkey; and many loving nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Rosebrock, and brother, Donald Schnitkey.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19 at St. John Lutheran Church, Ohio 6 and 66, Stryker. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-8 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon, and Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.

Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church or Hospice of Henry County.
