NAPOLEON -- Tom Christensen, 71, of Napoleon, Ohio, died at his residence on Sunday, August 3, 2014.
He was born April 20, 1943, in Ludington, Michigan, to the late John and Cleo (Nelson) Christensen. On May 1, 1982, he married Dorothy Collins in Napoleon, Ohio. Tom was an independent truck driver for over 19 years and worked as a telephone contractor for Lisn Corporation. He attended St. Augustine Catholic Church, Napoleon, and was a member of the River City Rodders.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Richard (Jeania) Christensen of Napoleon, Gary Christensen of Defiance, Kelly Ann (Rob) Pannekett of the Netherlands, Kelly Jo Harrison of Defiance and Mancy "Peaches" (Chad) Hartson of Napoleon; 12 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Jacqueline Christensen, Karen McKinley and Barb (Steve) Bogner, all of Ludington, Michigan, and John (Marie) Christensen of Kentwood, Michigan.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 8, at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon, with Father Doug Garand officiating, and a memorial gathering from 10-11 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date in Ludington, Michigan.
