SYLVANIA -- Dwaine T. McDowell, Sylvania, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 31, 2014, at the University of Toledo Medical Center, surrounded by loving family, from complications of open heart surgery.

He was born in 1962 in Columbus, Ohio, to Thomas and Sue (Feeback) McDowell. Dwaine worked for United Insurance Company as a sales rep. He married his best friend, Bonnie Lou Roth on May 1, 1993, in Wauseon, Ohio. His true passion was music. Dwaine was the lead guitar player for the Night Train Band. He was an exceptional player, one of the best in northwest Ohio. Dwaine was a kind man, to family and friends alike. He became fast and lifelong friends with anyone he met.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Bonnie; daughter, Lizz Alder; mother, Sue (Dean) Kosier; sister, Vonda (Felix) Tijernia; sister-in-law, Sue (Woody Scarberry) Pounds; brother-in-law, Bill (Judy) Roth; stepsisters, Lori Wilson and Sandra Downs; stepbrothers, Sherman (Regina) and Rick (Jean) Kosier; stepmother, Patsy McDowell; grandson, Anthony; nieces and nephews, Michael (Heather) Tijernia, Tony Tijernia, Alexandra Tijernia, Lindsey (Lamar) Stephenson, Ronnie (Sonja) Lance, Steven (Brandy) Roth; many aunts and uncles and pets, Zoe, Mia and Angel. He leaves behind so many more friends, all who will miss and cherish his memory.

Dwaine was preceded in death by his father, Thomas McDowell.

Friends are invited to join the family on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, for visitation at Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania, Ohio, from 1-3 p.m. when the funeral service will begin. Interment will be private.
