NAPOLEON -- Eugene "Sonny" Hogrefe, 76, of Napoleon, was welcomed by his Heavenly Father on Friday, July 18, 2014, at Henry County Hospital.

He was born September 1, 1937, to the late Henry and Neva (Rettig) Hogrefe. On May 18, 1968, he married Barbara Abbott. At the age of 18, he started Eugene Hogrefe, Inc. Trucking Company, which is now Dad's Trucking, LLC; and in 1992, he created Sonny's Auto Sales, which both still operate today. He enjoyed vacationing in Florida and took pleasure in supporting and watching his son race at Oakshade.
