Lillie B. Brown, of Defiance, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 4, 2014, at the CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center, Defiance, Ohio.

She was born on December 15, to Burns and Roxie (Deel) Baldwin in Wilco, W.Va. In 1940, she married Frank Brown who preceded her in death.

Lillie is survived by her three daughters, Jean Newberry of Defiance, Ohio, Frances (Larry) Hall of Defiance, Ohio, and Vicki (Thomas) Crouse of Bryan, Ohio; and a son, Donald (Linda) Brown of Nashville, Tenn. Lillie has four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Pearl Ratliff; brothers, Lawrence, Lonnie and Everett Baldwin; and a son-in-law, Ronald Newberry.

Lillie retired from Zeller Corp. in 1989. She enjoyed fishing, bingo and playing cards. She especially enjoyed her birthday and Christmas when she would receive lots of gifts. She will be greatly missed by family and all her friends, who knew her by "Charlie Brown." God bless you Lillie, Heaven awaits.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014, from 11 a.m. until the funeral services begin at 1 p.m., with Deacon Jeff Mayer officiating, at Schaffer Funeral Home Inc., Defiance, Ohio. Burial will take place in Riverview Memory Gardens.
