NAPOLEON -- Dorothy Rauch, 91, of Napoleon, Ohio, died Friday, June 27, 2014, at the University of Toledo Medical Center.
She was born in Freedom Township, the daughter of the late Herman and Helen (Rohrs) Winkelmann. She married Edmund Rauch on June 8, 1941, and he preceded her in death on January 4, 1982.
Dorothy was a homemaker and worked at the medical records department of Henry County Hospital for 19 years. In the 60's she worked as secretary to the administrator of S.M. Heller Memorial Hospital. Formerly, she worked in the assistant treasurer's office at Toledo Scale Co. and at Sears in Napoleon.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Napoleon. She loved spending time with her daughter and grandchildren, enjoyed cooking and sewing in earlier years and also taking care of her yard up to recently.
She is survived by a daughter, Julie Ann Thornton of Napoleon; grandchildren, Christopher Belcher, Tracey Belcher and Nicole Thornton, all of Napoleon; a great-granddaughter, Emily Belcher; and a great-grandson, Bently Bevan.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Eldor Winkelmann; and a sister, Alwina Winkelmann.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Napoleon, with Pastor Peter Marcis officiating.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30, at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon, from 2-8 p.m. and on Tuesday, from 10-11 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
