HICKSVILLE -- Leatha Stuckey 91, died early Saturday morning, June 21, 2014, at Hickory Creek at Hicksville.
Leatha was born October 13, 1922, the daughter of the late Daniel and Elizabeth (Sommers) Hershberger in Plevna, Indiana. She was a graduate of Greentown High School, Greentown, Indiana.
In March of 1942, she was united in marriage to Howard Stuckey. He preceded her in death April 3, 2005. Leatha was a homemaker, loving her family as it grew from her children to include their spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her family includes four sons, Dennis (Ella Jane) and Stan (Wanda), both of Hicksville, Keith (Phyllis) of Brownstown, Pa., and Randy (Mary Beth) of Millersburg, Ohio; a daughter, Deborah (William) Kurtz of Harlan, Ind.; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Robbins of Greentown, Ind.
She was preceded in death by three sisters.
The funeral service for Leatha will be at the North Leo Mennonite Church where she was an active member. It will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. Visitation will be at Smith & Brown Funeral Home in Hicksville, Ohio, on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m., and also at the church one hour prior to the service.
