BRYAN -- Robert D. Fockler, 74, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at his home.
Mr. Fockler was a self-employed contractor. He was known as a painter, handyman and mechanic. Robert enjoyed doing puzzles, fishing, old country music and country-western movies.
Robert Dean Fockler was born on July 27, 1939, in Sherwood, Ohio, the son of Carl R. and Evelyn Mae (Blosser) Fockler. He married Beulah Killion on September 24, 1966, in Sherwood, and she survives.
Robert is survived by two daughters, Carla (Donovan) Tressler of Ney and Julie (Matt) Lukac of Wadsworth, Ohio; a grandson, Eddie Tressler of Glasgow, Kentucky; special friends, Meryl Seibert and Skye Caryer, both of Bryan; brothers, David Fockler of Defiance, Ron Fockler of Bryan, Lynn (Ann) Fockler of Defiance and Marvin (Angie) Fockler of Defiance; sisters, Nancy Mock of Defiance, Sharon (Dave) Bidlack of Cecil and Beth (Steve) Long of Defiance; and sister-in-law, Sandy Fockler of Bryan. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Fockler; and brother-in-law, James Mock.
Funeral services for Robert D. Fockler will be held at 5 p.m. today, June 17, 2014, in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Pastor John MacFarlane officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-5 p.m.
